About M.J. Haag

M.J. Haag is the adult pen name for Melissa Haag.

Melissa currently resides in Wisconsin with her husband and three children and is best known for her Judgement of the Six series.  As an avid reader, she spent many hours curled up in a comfortable chair, flipping pages in her teens. She began writing in 2007 when some ideas just refused to be ignored any longer.

When she’s not at her writing desk working on her next paranormal/fantasy project, she’s binge watching shows about island living and enjoying time with her family.

Random facts about Melissa:

  1. Appetizer fiend.  She loves sampling new foods.  Appetizers are the best way.
  2. Chocolate Snob.  Again with the sampling and trying new things…  only certain chocolates qualify as “good”
  3. She’s like the dog on UP.  She distracts easily and her kids have caught on…

When is the next book coming out?

Stay up to date with my current projects by reading my blog, following me on Facebook, or signing up for my newsletter.

When will the next book come to audio?

Many authors fund the productions of audiobooks themselves. The cost-prohibitive venture has slow returns with the author typically earning 40% or less of the retail price. So, the production schedule depends on the popularity of the series and how quickly the previous books earn back their production costs.

When will the Tales of Snow series release?

I’m currently working on the Resurrection world, but frequently ask my newsletter subscribers what they want next.  So far, Tales of Snow hasn’t beat out the Resurrection world.  Be sure to subscribe and vote to help influence what releases next.

Are the Beastly Tales and Tales of Cinder worlds connected?

Yes!  They are the same world.  You can read about how the worlds are connected in Disowned, the prequel to Defiant, the first book in the Tales of Cinder.

Where can I purchase signed print copies of your books?

Visit the MJ Haag Shop page or, if you already have a book and would like a bookplate, please contact me.

If you’d like to purchase signed print copies of books that I wrote under Melissa Haag, please visit the Melissa Haag Shop page.

I found a typo.  Do you want to know about it?

If you find a mistake in any of my books, please feel free to contact me with the book’s version# (found on the copyright page) and the error(s).  I’m happy to make corrections and apologize for anything my team and I missed.

In what order should I read the series/books?

Check out any series page for the reading order.  If you’re wondering if you should read the Beastly Tales before Tales of Cinder, they can be read independently but readers prefer to read the Beastly Tales first so they better understand some of the cross over character references in the Tales of Cinder.
